Since we started Building H, we’ve been fortunate to work with a number of terrific partners on different projects that explore the possibilities at the intersections of design, technology, health and everyday life. Some of those projects are now inactive, but they each generated an interesting set of work products.

With the help of our colleagues at Hopelab, we collaborated with ETR/YTH and Headstream to explore the views and perspectives of young people on the concept of building health into everyday life.

Through much of 2020, we advised and collaborated with the design firm IDEO on their exploration of what it could mean to build health into everyday life. Over the course of their exploration, IDEO held workshops with experts and stakeholders across the public health, health care, tech and design fields; interviewed a series of domain experts; and even took a data science approach to observe the language people use to talk about health.

This project was an attempt to characterize the dynamic interactions among health behaviors such as eating, sleeping, and physical activity — how they relate to health outcomes and to each other.
